Pete Crankshaw

Co-Founder and Coach

Pete co-founded of Prospects Goaltending and Athletics with one main goal in mind; to use innovative and evidenced based teachings to provide the best possible learning environment for young athletes, as well as providing support to the parents who have a major role in their children’s success.
Pete has been coaching goalies for the past 12 years. In the last 8 years he began dedicating his attention full time to goalie coaching through his development camps, team practices, evaluations, and 1 on 1 training in our synthetic ice facility. Pete has been a part of many teams providing in season coaching and development, including: Wallaceburg Lakers Jr C, Dresden Kings Jr C, Southwest Wildcats PWHL, and 2 NCAA Division 1 commits, numerous CIS/USports goalies, and PWHL goalies.
Pete has worked with the U-18 Australian National Women’s Team to oversee the the evaluation and selection process as well as provide insight to further develop their goalies for success.
Pete loves what he does! He always arrives to the rink with a smile on his face and an infectious laugh.

Perry Wilson

Co-Founder and Coach

Coach Perry has worked with Hockey Canada as goaltending coach for Canada’s National Women’s Program since 2009-10, helping them to a Gold Medal at the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship, and was also on staff for the Senior Women’s World Championship that same year. Additionally, Perry has been part of Hockey Canada’s U22 Development team’s Gold Medal wins at the 2013 Meco Cup in Fussen, Germany, 2011 MLP Cup in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland, and at the 2010 MLP Cup in Ravensburg, Germany, along with numerous National team development and evaluation camps. Perry was the goaltending coach for the 2010 Sutherland Cup winning Lasalle Vipers, and has been consulting with goalies of all ages and ability levels for decades.

Tim Whitson

Coach

Tim is an Electrical Engineer that brings his systematic approach and eye for details in solving problems to his coaching style and philosophy.  He has been coaching since 2003 and his passion for the game and coaching continues to grow year after year. Tim is a NCCP High Performance 1 coach that has coached players and goalies from age Tyke to Midget and from Houseleague to Junior.  He has been involved with the Program of Excellence U15 as an Assistant Coach and two years with Team Alliance OHL Gold Cup team as a goalie coach.  After spending a few seasons in the Windsor AAA Zone as goalie coach for their Bantam and Midget teams he moved to the Essex 73’s Junior C club as their goalie coach.  Following that season he was asked to take on the LaSalle U18 AA as the Head Coach and has been there for the last three seasons.

Derion Ducedre

Coach

Derion has been with Prospects for 8 years and has had a significant impact while pursuing his career as a goalie and as a coach. Derion started his Junior coaching experience last season with the Dresden Kings Jr C club where he oversaw the development of current OHL’er Brett Brochu. This season Derion has joined the staff of the Lasalle Vipers Jr B hockey club. Derion is also dedicating his time to our development camps and the Midget Minor Sun County Panthers team.
Derion is currently a student at the University of Windsor studying Nursing with hopes to pursue a PhD. He brings a great set of values to the team, teaching our goalies about hard work and what it takes to succeed.

Andrew Corchis

Coach

Andrew is the current goalie coach for the University of Windsor Lancers Men’s Hockey team.
He’s been involved in coaching goalies for nearly 20 years in many levels of hockey, from house league to professional hockey and everything in between. Andrew works with several teams and individuals in the Windsor-Essex area, including several NCAA scholarship athletes and professional goaltenders.
He is also a certified youth training specialist and has been working with athletes of all ages and skill levels in the gym to help them perform to their highest potential and avoid injury.
His goal is to see my athletes become, above all, excellent people, then excellent athletes, and finally excellent goaltenders.

Cait Stiles

Coach

Cait is the current goaltending coach for the University of Windsor Women’s Hockey program. She has been coaching at various levels since 2013 following her minor and junior hockey career in Windsor. In addition to her role as goaltending coach, she is also the team’s equipment manager, as well as a the manager of Prospects Athletics.
Her experience in women’s hockey is unparalleled in the Windsor region.
Cait is passionate about hockey and developing goaltenders of all levels.

Alex Carriere

Coach

Alex has been with Prospects for the last 4 years and counting. He has played high level hockey with Chatham-Kent Cyclones AAA, Junior C Blenheim Blades, Dresden Junior Kings, and Wallaceburg Lakers. Alex has been coaching girls hockey for last 7 years from bantams AA, minor/major peewee B , Midget AA, 5 years with the Chatham Outlaws/ Chatham Crush and 2 years with the Bluewater Hawks. Lower lake Champions in 2016 with the Bantam AA Chatham Outlaws. Also coaching all age groups with the Chatham-Kent Cyclones AAA. Alex is all about development; doing what it takes to bring your game to the next level.
